And with the season for joy comes, what else, but the Ascension Christmas Party. Kids young and old enjoyed singing Christmas carols and crafts, games, great food and the kind of fellowship that can't help but warm your heart. A great big thank you goes out to the ladies who worked really hard to put the whole thing together. What can I say but that our Lord has truly blessed us in the midst of this troubled world.

The financial generosity of all those who attended will help bring a little Christmas warmth to those less fortunate this Christmas. If you would like to make a financial contribution, please contact our pastor.

Christmas can also be a lonely time for many who are unable to get out of the house. Some don't have family. Some may not even see so much as a friend over the holidays. If you can spare some time to bring a little loving Christmas cheer to our shut-ins and others less fortunate, please contact our pastor. All it takes is a few minutes out of the month to bring some warmth to a lonely heart. Trust me, your heart will appreciate it to.

Reminder: Don't forget to come bring your family and friends to participate in a beautiful candlelight celebration of the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ on Christmas Eve. Details about the time and location of all our services can be found on the Worship Services page.

MONTREAL, Dec. 1, 2001 - Ascension Lutheran Church in Montreal, Quebec, Canada announces the opening of it's new web site. Visitors will find information about Christianity, what it means to be Lutheran and have the opportunity to learn about our church, our pastor and the congregation. We have also included relevant links to many of the Internet's best tools and web sites. Kids young and old will find links to games and activities, humour and free stuff. Visitors can even read from the bible or request a special prayer from our Pastor.

As the site is brand new, tiny glitches are expected to show up. If you have any problems with the site, have questions, or would like to correct something that isn't quite accurate, please contact the Webmaster.
